Program Dates: June 1–26 and July 6–24, 2026
Compensation: $15–$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Executive Overview
Central Alabama Marines-Council is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Youth Basketball Coach to lead athletic instruction and team-building activities for students in grades 1–8 during a Project Pathfinder’s summer leadership and enrichment camp.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development, fundamentals-based coaching, and using sports to build confidence, discipline, and teamwork in a structured, mission-driven environment.

Project Pathfinder is a multi-season initiative designed to expand youth development, civic engagement, and resilience-building opportunities.
The summer program serves approximately 60 military- and veteran-connected students in grades 1–8 and integrates:
Position Summary
The Youth Basketball Coach reports to the Camp Director and is responsible for delivering structured, age-appropriate basketball instruction to mixed-grade groups.
The coach will lead daily sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, physical fitness, and sportsmanship while maintaining a safe, organized, and positive environment.

Compensation & Classification
This is a seasonal, non-exempt W-2 position paid hourly. Overtime eligibility applies in accordance with applicable labor laws.
Due to the temporary and seasonal nature of this role, this position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, or paid leave, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
